Za Questionnaire
The year you were put on this earth (thanks mom and dad!!):
- According to the story, mom and dad hooked up on Valentine’s Day in 1982. 9 months later, I was born.
Where do you hail from?:
- Don’t know about you, but I came from my momma; who lived in Victoria BC. I did not like the lack of gnar, so I left and moved to a few ski towns and finally woke up one day in Squamish… think I’ll kick it here for a while.
What pays the rent (and supports your powder habit??!):
- Biomedical research usually. I have a degree in biology (seriously). But now Im dish pig at the local brew pub, and studying communication and brain function. Must work as much as possible before snow hits!
I like:
- shredding gnar (duh!), pow, shredding the gnarly pow, fresh tracks, sledding, rock climbing, ice climbing, surfing. And we all know chicks dig scars!
I don't like (you're THAT picky?!):
- dog poo, core shots, broken bindings, frostbite, and the creepy guy at work who keeps trying to touch me..Ewww!!
Favorite food mmmmm:
Favorite bevy:
- anything free…or cheep if free isn’t an option. After living on Mt Washington, Lucky lager will always have a place in my heart tho!
Favorite place for apres:
- Longhorn, GLC and Dustys kick ass when I want a crowd. But escaping the masses and making wings and natchos for the boys at home while drinking beer and watching ski movies is pretty awesome too!!
My favourite run:
- Anything off the beaten track…with fresh lines, where the punters fear to tread! Really miss heroin shoot in the mount Washington slack country. Fraggle rock on blackcomb can be pretty fun at times, or sapphire shoots.
My favourite music to shred to:
- Depends on the run. Perfectally spaced birch trees call for some Beautiful Girls, or Xaviour Rudd. Big drops and gnarly open steeps call for some more up beat techno, usually of the MGMT, cut copy, or even a little shiny toy guns. Althow you can never go wrong with rise against… or 80s music like the final countdown or eye of the tiger.
First run of the day (WAKE UP!!):
- depends on whats open and conditions. Fraggle is usually good… althow if spankies is open with no line up… Couloir extreme is usually a good warm up if its not blowen to shit. Althow there is something to be said about taking the sled into chocolate bowl on a mad pow day, and the ride in is a decent warm up!
Last run of the day (cruuuuuisin down):
- Dusty’s downhill (peak to creak) if im riding in bounds with friends (or the Kybers alternative route). Otherwise anything long that will put me close to cold beer!
Ski, snowboard, or AC/DC (snowboard and ski, chyea!):
- Touring on a snowboard Ewww!! Can’t do nearly as many park tricks on a board either. I ski!!! Always have, always will. (ps AC/DC is also slang for bisexual)
Snowboarding or skiing ability (newbie? or shredder extrordinaire??!):
- I ski with boys. I ride 183’s. Whistler got boring so I bought a sled. Does this answer your question? if not, I guess you could say I know how to shred gnar.
Why I should be Miss Powder Mountain in under 250 words (*ahem*!!):
- Im rad.
- Im hot
- I rip
- I have a sled and you have roads which makes line pouching really easy. See what im getting at?
Make us laugh, let's hear a joke!:
- was that last point a threat or a joke?? Hahahhahhahahaha!!!! Im laughing!
Tell us three funny things you think you could get people to do at the party on December 3th at The Longhorn...be creative!:
- drunken chin ups while we throw stuff at them
- climb the walls
- start jousting with ski poles
- dress like a sasquatch
